MARATHON START TIMES:
7:30am: Wave 1 Start (FULL MARATHON ONLY)
7:33am: Wave 2 Start (FULL MARATHON ONLY)

8:30am: Wave 1 Start (half & relay)

9:00am: Entertainment at finish line begins at Waban Park
9:30am: Buses begin returning those runners staying in Edgartown and Tisbury.
10:30am: Awards ceremony Half Marathon
10:35am: Awards ceremony Relay Teams
12:30pm: Awards ceremony Full Marathon
NOTE: Full marathon start time has changed to 7:30 am for 2023 ONLY.
WATER STATIONS
13 aid stations will be provided along the course placed approximately 1.5 - 2 miles apart. All aid stations will be staffed and have water. Gatorade will be provided at most water stations and filtered water is provided at all stations. Each aid station will be equipped with a first aid kit and Medics will be at miles 6(marathon), 5(Half) / 13(marathon) and 9(half) / 21(marathon).
MEDICAL & TOILETS ON COURSE:
Medical and EMT's will be positioned at the WATER STATIONS C and F
Portable Toilets along the course will be at the START, at all WATER STATIONS along the course and at the FINISH.

Participants
can connect their registration by matching name and birthdate if they would like to enable GPS tracking and race with their phone.
Spectators
can track any number of participants and view live progress on a map.
* if the participant does not enable GPS tracking, they will initially move on the map based on their estimated finish time. Participants on the map will not move past the next timing station until we’ve recorded a real-time for them at that point. Each time a participant crosses a timing mat, we will update their expected averages for future timing points.
MARATHON Splits: START, MILE 12, MILE 20, FINISH
HALF & RELAY Splits; START, MILE 5, MILE 8, FINISH
RELAY DETAILS:
RUNNER #1: 5.5 miles
RUNNER #2: 7.6 Miles
Both runners should arrive at the start at the YMCA of Martha’s Vineyard 111R Edgartown Vineyard Haven Rd, Oak Bluffs, MA 02568.
RUNNER #2: 7:50am - Bus departs from YMCA of MV to transport Runner #2 to transition area Water Station F.
RUNNER #1: 8:30am - Start race. RUNNER #1 carries the baton.
After Runner #1 finishes, and passes the baton to Runner #2, vans will transport Runner #1 between 8:20am - 9:45am from WATER STATION F (transition area) to the FINISH LINE.
Every participant will receive the following:

Return bus transportation for those staying or returning to Edgartown and Tisbury.

PARKING:
THERE IS NO START-LINE PARKING AT THE YMCA. Please park at one of the ferry landing locations to take the race shuttle.
PACE team:
ON PACE COACHING will provide pacers for the full and the half marathon. In addition… Pacers and Pace bands will range in 3:30 - 6:00 marathon times and 1:50 - 3:00 for half marathon times.
BAG DROP / GEAR CHECK:
GEAR CHECK is provided at the start. Gear / bag check is an easy way for us to store your items (like extra clothing) during your race. Your race packet, available at packet pick up, will contain everything you need! To check-in your gear, place your items in the gear bag, cinch it closed, and use the enclosed zip tie to attach your gear check label to your bag. (Your gear check label can be found along the bottom portion of your race bib and has your bib number pre-printed on it for easy identification & retrieval after your race). Please do not use gear check for valuables such as your car keys, cell phone, or jewelry, as we cannot be responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged items.
bus transportation PRE AND POST RACE
Buses for the FULL and the HALF MARATHON will be loading and departing from the following locations Oak Bluffs, Edgartown and Tisbury. Buses begin loading at 6:15am - 7:45am.
VINEYARD HAVEN / TISBURY bus departure: 6:30am -8Am
LOCATION: 99 WATER STREET, VINEYARD HAVEN. The first bus will leave after the first ferry from Woods Hole arrives at 6:45am. If you are STAYING in Vineyard Haven, you can walk to the ferry for bus transportation to the start. Those that ARE NOT staying on the island may can take one of the first 3 morning ferries departing Woods Hole at 6:00am and 7:00am. All ferries will get you to the start in time.
FERRY RIDERS...NOTE: If you are coming over on the ferry from Woods Hole, you can take the ferry back after the race from the Oak Bluffs Ferry (FINISH LINE). The Oak Bluffs Ferry is located directly across the from the finish line.
Post Race: Buses will shuttle runners from Oak Bluffs to Vineyard Haven from 9:30am - 3pm
OAK BLUFF bus departure: 6:30am - 8am
29 Tuckernuck Ave, Oak Bluffs, MA 02557
LOCATION: WABAN PARK, OAK BLUFFS. Buses will pick up runners on the corner of Seaview and Nantucket Ave.
The finish line is in WABAN Park in Oak Bluffs. If you are staying in Oak Bluffs you can walk to the bus pick up. If you need to take the ferry back to Woods Hole you can walk across the street from the finish line and take the ferry.
Post race: If you are staying in Vineyard haven or Edgartown, buses will shuttle you back between 9:30am - 3pm
EDGARTOWN bus departure: 6:30am -8am.
LOCATION: 131 N WATER STREET, EDGARTOWN. Buses will pick up in front of Harbor View Hotel.
If you are staying in Edgartown, it is a quick and short walk from any hotel to the Harbor View Hotel. If you are staying Harbor View, you can roll out of bed!
Post Race: Buses will shuttle runners from Oak Bluffs to Edgartown from 9:30am - 3pm
